Anaba Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2015

Sonoma Coast AVA, CA

94 pts. Wine Enthusiast

Silver Medal San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition

This Pinot Noir is a beautiful expression of Sonoma Coast elegance - with a gorgeous light color, a myriad of enticing flavors, and a very long finish. Pairs especially well with all types of poultry dishes. Anaba is consistently one of our favorite Pinots!

VINEYARD NOTES

The vineyards sourced to make this flagship wine come from Green Valley, the sub-appellation of Russian River Valley, as well as the wind swept AVA of Carneros. Budbreak was early and the growing season was produced low yields of concentrated fruit with beautiful flavor development from each of these vineyards—Kozlowski (farmed by Joe and Steve Dutton) in glorious Goldridge soil and the coolest and foggiest of the three vineyards and Las Brisas Vineyard (from Carneros pioneer, Frank Mahoney). The duo comes together to create a balanced, vibrant, rich expression of the Sonoma Coast AVA.

TASTING NOTES

Complex layered aromas of black cherry and wild raspberry combine with scents of forest and savory spice. Nice tension and firm yet supple tannins complement this richly textured wine entwining flavors of dark cherries, boysenberries and spice.
