It’s so fun when we discover a TRULY BOUTIQUE winery like this, which produces amazing Pinots in small quantities. You definitely won’t find this delicious wine in a store! We just love the nicely blended earthy and red fruit flavors, with wonderful pumpkin pie spices that extend from the start to the finish and beyond! Try it with salmon - oh what a great pairing!


Our Riven Rock Vineyard is located six miles from the ocean in a coastal valley stretching east from the town of Cambria. The vines are planted on steep, predominately south-facing broken hills. The vineyard consists of five acres of Pinot Noir (clones 5, 667, 828, 115 and 23; planted between 2001 and 2006) and two acres of Riesling (clones 2 and 10; planted in 2006), mostly on lime-bearing soils. The remaining portion of the 47-acre property has been left in its natural state.

After a long, cool growing season, harvest was completed between September 13 - September 20. The grapes were fermented with 15% whole clusters and native-yeast fermentation. The wines were aged in 30% new Tonnellerie Remond barrels, and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Clones Pommard 5 & 115 were selected for this bottling.

Our 2018 Pinots were all bottled using M.A. Silva 1 by 1 corks, lessening the risk of cork taint in our wines. These corks are individually tested and guaranteed by M.A. Silva.

Tasting Notes:

A bright nose loaded with red fruit, predominately red cherry. Cedar, spicebox and silky tannins round out the mid-palate and the wine graduates to a gorgeous finish.
