Amici Cellars Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2021
In 2020, Amici's winemaker Tony Biagi was named "Winemaker of the Year" by Antonio Galloni of Vinous!
93 pts. James Suckling:
"Boysenberry, ripe raspberry, and citrus on the nose. Medium-bodied with nuanced acid and fine tannin texture. Crisp and focused. Citrusy. Drink or hold."
Oh what a pleasing Russian River Valley Pinot! This is the kind of wine that, with every sip, you discover different flavors. Definitely not a boring wine! An absolute joy to drink. - Wine Factor
FROM THE WINERY
Sourced from premier vineyards in the heart of Russian River Valley, the 2021 Amici Cellars Pinot Noir showcases classic Russian River Valley characteristics. Rich aromas of cranberry, black cherry, and baking spice meld with flavors of lively red fruits and hints of cherry cola. This polished Pinot Noir offers silky tannins and precise acidity that add complexity to the long finish.
2021 VINTAGE: The 2021 harvest will be remembered as a harvest of rebirth and of achievement for Amici Cellars. With it being our 30th harvest, and after the challenges that 2020 brought, our team was especially looking forward to this vintage. The warmer, drier winter pushed bud break earlier than usual and was followed by a dry but steady summer growing season. Harvest began in mid-August and continued steadily before ramping up in September as the heat rose across the valley. Drought conditions throughout California led to lighter crop yields; however, we are very pleased with the exceptional quality of fruit and resulting wine in the 2021 Russian River Pinot Noir.
