Lynmar is one of our personal favorite Pinot Noir producers in the Russian River Valley. Every Pinot of theirs that we've tasted has been excellent! The Russian River Estate has the perfect balance  of fruit, spice, and earth, exhibiting all the wonderful characteristics that make Russian River Pinots so popular. 


Lynn Fritz first purchased Quail Hill Ranch and Vineyards in 1980, drawn to the maritime climate and the authenticity of the rolling Russian River vineyards. The property has some of the oldest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines planted in the Russian River Valley. The grapes from these early vines were bought by Tony Soter and Merry Edwards to make wines considered to be some of the best in the Russian River Valley. Lynmar began a small winemaking activity in the early 1990s and produced small amounts of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which were extremely well received. Over the next 35 years, Lynn purchased several contiguous properties, which have been amalgamated into a single stunning estate bordered by the Laguna de Santa Rosa watershed. - Courtesy of Lynmar Estate


The 2017 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir showcases the purity and vibrancy of the region with nuanced texture and bright aromatics. At its core, this wine is comprised of Lynmar’s three Russian River Valley vineyards - Quail Hill, Susanna’s and Adam’s - along with neighboring properties that share our same viticultural philosophies.  A saturated ruby color in the glass, this vintage showcases aromatics of ripe strawberry, Santa Rosa plum, fresh rhubarb and black tea.  On the palate, flavors of bing cherry, hibiscus and orange blossom are followed by undertones of baking spice and clove.  A textured finish echoes notes of strawberry, black tea and spice.
