White Rose Marsh Vineyard Pinot Noir 2011

Willamette Valley, OR

On a recent wine tasting trip to Oregon we were told by many people, including other wineries, that we should visit White Rose Winery. We did, and boy were we glad we did! Their Marsh Vineyard Pinot Noir 2011 just blew us away! It was one of the best wines we tasted on the trip. Being a very small-production winery, they sell out of their wines just from tasting room purchases. We had to plead with them to sell us a small allotment of cases for our website! A Burgundian beauty! Pair this wine with oven roasted chicken or game hens for a real experience.

Planted in the Yamhill Carlton AVA (sedimentary soil), this Willamette Valley Pinot Noir has an elegant nose, with red fruit, raspberry, cinnamon, and subdued spices. Delicate in body, with plum, cherry and spices; the finish lingers with polished dryness. Like a flower bud, this Pinot will blossom and reveal its many layers of fine flavors if you DECANT it for at least 30 minutes. Your patience will be rewarded with a true representation of great Willamette Valley wines! In 2020, this wine is still drinking like a youngster.
