Tendril Wine Cellars Extrovert Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2018

Willamette Valley, OR
91 pts. Wine & Spirits Magazine:

"Savory and mineral, this leads with scents of violet and black cherry, while its flavors seem riper, darkening to plum. It’s soft and succulent, with a seductive texture for plank roasted salmon."

This small-production wine really epitomizes the heart and soul of the Willamette Valley. A classic Oregon Pinot Noir, it shows wonderful minerality and earthiness, combined with warm fruit flavors - none of which overwhelm the other. A beautifully crafted wine by an outstanding winemaker! – Wine Factor

About the winemaker:

During his 10 years at Domaine Serene Winery as head winemaker, Tony Rynders became one of the most highly acclaimed winemakers in America. He obtained more 90+ point scores from the Wine Spectator magazine than any other winemaker during that period of time. Now he crafts his own wine under the Tendril label, and also does wine consulting on the side.

FROM THE WINERY
Winemaker Tasting Notes:

An inviting nose of black cherry and raspberry lead to flavors of ripe cherry, pomegranate and cranberry. A surprisingly soft and approachable wine with good structure and a round finish that leaves one wanting more.

Enjoy: Tendril wines are made “low and slow,” just like great food: we give them time to reach their full potential at the winery, aging 16 months minimum in barrel and 6-18 months more in bottle before release. If you prefer aging, 3-12 years from vintage date is ideal for Extrovert. Serve at 58-62F.

Favorite Pairings: Pork sliders, mushroom tart, cheeseburgers, pasta primavera.
