Valdicava Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2019

Tuscany, Italy
97 pts. James Suckling:

"Aromatic with black cherries, oranges and cedar. Very perfumed. Medium to full body. Firm tannins. The wood is showing a bit now but will come through nicely. This is a structured and toned red. Give this three or four years more in bottle. Try after 2026."

95 pts. Wine Spectator:

"This displays a mix of fruity and savory flavors, with notes of cherry, raspberry, rose hip, leather and earth. Pliable tannins emerge on the finish, yet this is balanced and long overall, with freshness and elegance. Best from 2026 through 2042. 3,500 cases made, 1,000 cases imported."

Valdicava is considered one of the most well-respected wineries in Tuscany. They consistently produce amazing Brunellos with a comparatively bolder, earthier, more full-bodied flavor all their own. The vineyards are situated on the north side of Montalcino and the wine spends more time in French Oak than most other Brunellos. Try one and you'll be hooked, like we are! - Wine Factor

ABOUT THE WINERY

Located in the north of Montalcino, Tuscany, Valdicava wine estate produces some of the highest quality wines in the world by showing different expressions of the opulent Sangiovese grape. The warming sensation from the nearby Tirrean Sea, the protective barrier of the “Monte Amiata”, the cooling breezes of surrounding wooded forests along with moderate rain fall facilitate the particularly unique growth of the Valdicava grapes.

The Brunello-focused estate has given their absolute attention to the vines to produce a great balance of body and aroma, making every bottle a treasured collectible. The hard work and attention to the details in the terroir is evident for the consumers of any Valdicava, now and for years to come.
