Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2023

750 ml
93 pts. Vinous:

"The 2023 Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast) is open-knit, plush and very nicely built. A surprising amount of graphite minerality opens first, lending complexity to the concentrated yet weightless dark berry fruit and subtle tea-like tannins. Finessed, polished and expressive, the 2023 boasts the hallmark Kosta Browne supple, velvety texture. All the elements come together effortlessly."

92 pts. Wine Spectator:

"Gentle and caressing feel, this offers warmed raspberry and black cherry compote notes, along with hints of anise and black tea. The finish shows a lightly toasted edge. Drink now through 2027. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 4,750 cases made."

Kosta Browne's Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is a total delight! This wine screams elegance and just keeps you coming back for more. So flavorful yet elegant, it's worth every penny! - Wine Factor

FROM THE WINERY

This wine brings together vineyards spanning the appellation, from the rugged coastline to the sheltered inland slopes. Floral and cedar notes weave through layers of wild blueberry and crushed red plum, with a subtle hint of eucalyptus. The palate unfolds with black currant and raspberry, framed by refined structure, while hints of black tea and cinnamon add depth to a graceful, lingering finish. Aged for 16 months in a mix of French oak and foudre, followed by time in stainless steel, this Pinot Noir captures the essence of the Sonoma Coast with poise and vibrancy.
